Radius ("we", "the app") is a location-based chat application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices.

Data we collect

• Account data — name, email address, username, profile photo.
• Precise location — while the app is open, to show Nearby people around you. We never collect location in the background.
• User content — messages, stories, photos, videos and voice recordings you send.
• Identifiers — your user ID and device ID, used for authentication, sync, and push notifications.

How we use it

• Provide core app functionality: accounts, chats, stories, nearby discovery.
• Send push notifications for new messages.
• Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
• Safety and moderation: enforcing bans, reviewing reported content.

What we never do

• We do not collect location in the background.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not read your messages for advertising purposes.

Third-party services

• Supabase — backend hosting and database.
• Apple / Google Sign-In — authentication.
• Expo — push notification delivery.
• TikTok Business SDK — advertising campaign measurement.

Your choices

• Location permission can be revoked in your device settings — Nearby features will stop working.
• You can delete your account in the app, which removes your profile and content.
• You can opt out of nearby visibility while keeping chat access.

Data retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Stories expire automatically. Deleted accounts are purged from active systems within 30 days.

Children

Radius is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
